Irish American Partnership grants $10,000 to five Kerry schools

Grants totalling $10,000 have been presented to the Cathaoirleach of Kerry on a visit to the USA for five schools.

Councillor Michael O’Shea and Kerry Tourism Officer John Griffin visited Boston to promote tourism, trade, and foreign direct investment, following a visit to New York for St Patrick’s Day.

The Irish American Partnership hosted a business roundtable event to discuss economic growth, community development, and expansion of educational opportunity in County Kerry.

There, Partnership Chief Executive Mary Sugrue presented Councillor O’Shea with grants totalling $10,000 for five Kerry schools; Nagle Rice Primary School in Milltown, Castledrum National School in Castlemaine, Castlemaine National School, Scoil Naisiunta Eoin Baiste in Lispole, and Murhur National School in Moyvane.
