Ireland South MEP calls on Kerry tourism providers not to increase prices

Ireland South MEP and member of the EU Tourism Taskforce Deirdre Clune is asking Kerry tourism providers not to increase prices ahead of this year’s tourism season.

Her calls follow a Failte Ireland report which shows a 16% drop in the number of British holiday makers who perceive Ireland as good value.

MEP Clune is appealing to hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and other such tourism providers across the county to think strategically and maintain value for money in the sector.

She says we must take account of the realities facing British holiday makers – who make up over 50% of Ireland’s tourism market.
