Ireland South MEP calls for more cohesive approach to mental health services

An MEP for Ireland South is calling for a more cohesive approach towards improving mental health services in Ireland. Sinn Fein’s Liadh Ní Riada made the call following a visit by a mental health delegation to the European Parliament. Liadh Ni Riada She says Sinn Féin is helping to facilitate Mental Health groups in the areas of shared experience, best practice and suicide prevention. She described suicide as being totally indiscriminate affecting all ages – adding that it was important to build upon the work of this delegation to help advance Ireland’s mental health services.
