Investigation continues into death of Tralee man

Gardai say they will exhaust every resource in their murder investigations into the death of Michael Faulkner. Up to 30 officers are involved in the case. Inspector Martin McCarthy is asking people looking for instant justice to refrain and allow gardai to continue their probe. The three men questioned yesterday were held for 12 hours and were later released without charge. A file is being prepared and will be sent to the DPP. Gardai have conducted house to house inquiries and have searched up to two dozen homes across two estates in the area. Inspector McCarthy says they have significant progress made. The remains of Michael Faulkner left Kerry General Hospital earlier today and were taken to O Connors funeral home North Gate Bridge in Cork City. Removal of Michael Faulkner will take place this evening from O Connors funeral home arriving at knocknaheeny church at 5:30. Funeral mass will take place at 2 o clock tomorrow.
