International Soccer To Return To Kerry

FAI_Crest Kerry will host two 2 Under 15 Internationals next month, with Ireland to take on Scotland. The first will be under lights in Killarney Celtic on Friday, January 23rd at 7.15. The two sides will meet again in Listowel Celtic on Sunday the 25th at 12 noon. FIFA appear determined to end any further investigations into the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in Russia and Qatar. The football world governing body has dismissed a legal complaint against the report that had cleared the successful bidders of any wrong-doing. However, FIFA’s chief investigator, US lawyer Michael Garcia has appealed against that report and claimed that the summary was “incomplete and erroneous”. In a statement today, FIFA says that the summary judgement of independent judge Hans-Joachim Eckert was “neither legally binding nor appealable” and that Garcia’s complaint is “not admissible”. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says there’s no truth in reports that there’s an uneasy atmosphere in the dressing room at the moment. The Reds find themselves in 11th place in the Premier League and they failed to advance from the group stages of the Champions League just last week. Rodgers is facing increasing pressure to hold onto his job – but he insists that there’s nothing in rumours of disharmony among his players. Reading have named Steve Clarke as their new manager. The Championship club have moved swiftly following the sacking of Nigel Adkins yesterday. It is Clarke’s first management job since he was dismissed by West Brom 12-months ago.
