Earlier this month Gareth Bradshaw announced his retirement from inter county football.
The 33 year-old Moycullen player had spent 14 seasons with the Galway team.

Meanwhile, Chris Barrett says he feels “incredibly privileged” to have donned the green and red of Mayo.
The corner-back has called time on his inter-county career after twelve years on the panel.
During that time, he won seven Connacht titles and an Allianz National league title.
Barrett is the fifth player in recent weeks to retire from the Mayo panel.

Kilkenny's Paul Murphy is another who has announced his retirement from inter county hurling.
The Danesfort defender won 4 All Ireland senior medals with the black and amber since making his debut back in 2011.
He also collected 4 All star awards.
