The president of the Institute of Technology Tralee is critical that a Higher Education Authority report was “selectively” leaked.
The report was published in the Irish Times yesterday and found the college to be overstaffed, losing money and experiencing serious cash flow problems.
President of IT Tralee Dr Oliver Murphy says their highest deficit was €2.5 million, which has now been reduced to €1.5 million.
He adds they have submitted a strategic plan, which includes reducing costs, increasing revenue and enhancing student experience, to address financial challenges.
Dr Oliver Murphy disputes that IT Tralee is overstaffed.
