Ingleby 451 appeal KCC decision

A hydro electric power scheme in the Brandon area is with An Bord Pleanala again, for the second time in just over a year. English company Ingleby 451 have appealed a decision by Kerry County Council refusing them permission to build the power scheme on The Oweena Feena River. When Ingleby first applied permission was granted by The Council but a group of local residents along with a number of national bodies appealed to An Bord PleanalaBefore a decision could be made by the board the company withdrew their application and submitted a new one to the council earlier this year. However the application was refused this time around and this is now being appealed by the company. Dr Tom Shaw of Ingleby 451 says the whole process is frustrating.
