There’s been an increase in demand for civil engineering courses at the Institute of Technology Tralee.
As first round CAO offers are made today, skills shortages have seen more students move towards courses related to the construction sector.
Demand is also strong for courses in science and nursing.
There has been a small decline in those seeking to do social care, which is due to less people doing the Leaving Cert this year.
