Iarnrod Eireann will continue to serve alcohol on trains

Iarnrod Eireann won’t be banning drink from match trains out of Kerry. A meeting which was held yesterday discussed a report of an incident on the match train for the Dublin game last weekend. Business Development Manager Andrew Roche says the vast majority of people are well behaved and it wouldn’t be fair to them to ban alcohol. He says they have plans to deal with any problems in the future, but refused to disclose them. Callers to Radio Kerry on Monday complained about a group of teenagers who went on a drinking spree. Gardai boarded the train at Rathmore to caution them about their behaviour.
