House prices in Kerry have gone up in the first 6 months of this year.

A report in today’s Sunday Independent shows that prices of three different property types have risen from January to June of 2018.

The cost of buying a 2 bed apartment has gone up to €145,000, an increase of almost 15%.

There was a 4% increase in price for 3 bed, semi-detached houses, bringing the average cost to €220,000, while a 4 bed semi-detached house in the county will cost an average of €280,000, an increase of almost 3%.

Nationally, prices are rising sharply in counties like Laois, Kilkenny, Wexford and Offaly, although in contrast, property prices in Dublin have fallen for the first time in 5 years.
