Irish Water has extended its hosepipe ban in Kerry and several other counties.
It’s after the board met today to assess the need to extend the Water Conservation Orders, which will expire this Friday.
The orders will now remain in place until the 30th of September for homes and businesses in Kerry and 14 other counties to safeguard drinking water supplies.
The ban has, however, been lifted for the north west of the country.
Irish Water is appealing to all customers to continue to conserve water, as supplies remain lower than normal.
