It’s hoped the tender for an East Kerry sewerage scheme will be published by year end.
The Kilcummin Sewerage Scheme development includes a new pumping station, a below ground peak flow holding tank, and an access road from the back of the Páirc Chuimín estate, in Kilcummin.
The project received planning approval last year, following objections to An Bord Pleanála.
Wayleave issues with landowners had arisen in recent months, however, Kerry County Council says all four landowners have now appointed representatives.
A meeting of the Killarney Municipal District was told Irish Water plans on going to tender later this year, with construction on the €2.7 million-euro project to begin in 2019.
