Henry de Bromhead Wins Novice Hurdle

The Henry de Bromhead-trained Sizing John has won the Grade One, Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown. The 11-to-1 shot came home under Jonathan Burke ahead of Sub Lieutenant. It was a good few minutes for de Bromhead, who also saw Special Tiara land the Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton under Barry Geraghty. The Willie Mullins-trained Twinlight won the first of the day’s Grade Ones at Leopardstown – the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase. The 16-to-1 shot came home comfortably in the end ahead of Hidden Cyclone.
