Healy-Raes rule out third candidate for general election

Both Healy-Rae TDs are currently ruling out running a third candidate in Kerry at the next general election.

Independent deputies Michael and Danny Healy-Rae say they are concentrating on holding onto their two seats and representing their constituents.

They say they are not concerned about what other parties or candidates are doing.

There has been speculation that the Healy-Raes could run a third candidate given the strong performances of Maura, Johnny and Jackie Healy-Rae in the local elections where they topped the poll in three areas to claim seats on Kerry County Council.
