Health and Safety Authority urges farmers to take care over the Christmas period

The Health and Safety Authority is urging farmers to take care over the Christmas and New Year period.

So far in 2017, there have been no farm fatalities in Kerry.

This follows on from three in 2016, and one in 2015.

Pat Griffin, Senior Inspector for Agriculture Safety with the HSA, says there have been 24 deaths on farms nationwide.

He’s calling on all farmers to remain vigilant during the holiday period.
