Health Chiefs to hold talks with new HSE

The Chief Executive of the recently abolished Southern Health Board is meeting with his counterparts in Naas today. Sean Hurley and the other health chiefs are holding talks with officials of the new Health Service Executive. They’re having discussions on how health services should be managed over the next 6 months as arrangements are put in place for the HSE to assume total responsibility. It had been originally planned that the HSE would take over completely on January 1st but Sean Hurley and the other Chief Executives were asked to continue to manage services in their regions for another 6 months.
