“He Brought Light into Darkness”: The Passing of Séamus Begley – January 10th, 2023

The great West Kerry traditional musician Séamus Begley has died at the age of 73. He was renowned for his accordion-playing and for his beautiful singing voice. Séamus’s friend, Mary Conroy, who presents Radio Kerry’s traditional music programme, Tóg Sos, pays tribute to the man and his extraordinary music. Mary also pays tribute to  the late Sliabh Luachra musician Jimmy Doyle.
