Over half a million Italians are currently being treated to sights of the Blasket Islands in Milan.
Tourism Ireland’s latest promotional campaign features An Bhlascaóid Mór on billboards in Milan’s underground Metro stations.
It’s estimated up to 680,000 commuters have seen the billboards featuring the islands off the West Kerry coast in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht.
The campaign is a joint initative with Aer Lingus who are offering attractive flights packages from Italy to Ireland.
345,000 Italians visited Ireland last year, up 7 per cent on the previous year.
