Gulliver reservations company is taken over by Fexco

The reservations company Gulliver is now 100-per cent owned by Fexco following the buy-out of the remaining 26 per cent. The price paid by the Killorglin based financial services company is not disclosed. A joint company owned by Fáilte Ireland and the Northern Ireland tourist board sold their stake in the company.Gulliver sold 410,000 bednights in the first six months of this year, up 10 per cent on last year. Internet bookings jumped 88 per cent and online now accounts for half of all Gulliver`s business. Fexco took a 74 per cent stake in Gulliver seven years ago.
