GoSafe staff are protesting outside the Dáil this lunchtime.

The workers, who operate speed cameras across the country, are in a dispute over conditions of employment and health and safety issues.

SIPTU says its members are holding a 24-hour stoppage today due to the Listowel-based company’s refusal to accept a Labour Court recommendation to engage with the union.

GoSafe workers are also protesting outside Leinster House at 1pm to highlight, what they believe, is the manner in which state bodies have contracted the company in breach of the public procurement provisions of the Public Service Agreements.
