There’s good news for road users in North Kerry. The National Roads Authority has given the county council approval for two additional schemes. Improvements to the N69 in Tarbert and William Street in Listowel have been added to this year’s National Roads Grants. The NRA has asked Kerry County Council to prepare a design scheme as well as to scope the works. A commitment to fund the roadworks has also been made. The announcement has been welcomed by Minister of State Jimmy Deenihan. Fianna Fáil councillor Jimmy Moloney says it’s great news but that approval for the projects should have been made sooner.
