Goblin Management turn down Labour Courts recomendation

Management at Goblin have turned down the labour courts recommendation. In an usual move the company has decided to offer voluntary redundancies to all 40 workers. However it`s understood the package originally offered to workers has been reduced to 4 weeks plus statutory redundancy.Radio Kerry News understands this move came to light over the last 48 hours, when union representatives met with management to discuss the Labour Court recommendation. Workers were unhappy with the original offer put to them, when the redundancies were announced. Management wanted the redundancies to take place on a first in last out basis. Workers are due to vote on the companies offer next week.
