Go ahead for council to prepare report on N69 near Listowel

Kerry County Council has been given the go ahead to prepare a report on a section of the N69 near Listowel in need of repairs.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland have approved the preparation of an appraisal document for a 5km section of the N69 between Coolnalean and Banemore.

This will look at the condition of the surface and identify the works needed, and the council hopes to submit the report later this year.

Local Cllr Jimmy Moloney says the surface of the N69 has deteriorated to an unacceptable level, and he was very disappointed when this section wasn’t included in the National Pavement Scheme announced late last year.
