Gardaí warn of unregistered driving instructors operating in Kerry

Gardaí are warning the public about unregistered driving instructors operating in Kerry.
They’ve received complaints from a number of drivers, who went for lessons, not realising that their instructors were not officially recognised.
Under current laws, learner drivers must undergo 12 driving lessons before they can apply for their test.
However, the lessons must be given by a fully registered driving instructor.
Garda Jason Gibbons advises learners to be wary of any instructor who’s undercutting the competition, and to check with the Road Safety Authority or the Gardaí,  if they have any doubts.
