Gardaí are asking for the public’s assistance in tracing those behind an armed robbery in Kilflynn village last Thursday night. At approximately 10pm, two men armed with a knife entered the shop beside Herbert’s Bar in the village and attempted to rob the premises. Gardaí are describing the incident in Kilflynn as a serious one and are asking the public to help them in tracing a number of suspects who were seen in the village between 2pm and 11pm on the day of the hold up. Meanwhile, Gardai are also investigating two attempted burglaries in the Oakpark area of Tralee on Sunday night the 24th of August and the early hours of Monday August 25th. Windows were smashed in two premises including a launderette next to Subway on the Oakpark Road when the burglar’s attempted to gain entry. Nothing was taken during the attempted break-in.
