Gardaí are investigating two serious assaults which took place in Tralee over the weekend.
A man received serious head injuries including a fractured skull and a bleed to the brain in a serious assault in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The altercation took place between a couple and a man at 3.15am in Boherbee on Sunday morning.
The injured party, a man in his late twenties, is currently receiving treatment in University Hospital Kerry.
Meanwhile, a separate assault took place in the early hours of this morning in the Abbey car park.
A teenage man was struck by two youths at 12.45am.
His front tooth was knocked out and he suffered facial injuries.
Garda Caragh Kelly says it was an unprovoked attack.
Tralee Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward in both cases.
