Gardai investigate suspected ecstasy overdose cases.

Two youths in their mid twenties were admitted to Tralee General Hospital on Saturday evening for a suspected ecstasy overdose. Gardai in Listowel were alerted to the incident on Saturday morning. In a follow up operation Gardai searched a house in the town and found a small quantity of a specific form of ecstasy.No arrests were made in connection with the search Inquiries are ongoing into the case.According to a garda source the form of ecstasy found is commonly known as snowballs which are a mixture of ecstasy, lsd and other hallucinogenic drugs. According to the source the drug is not widely used in Kerry. The two youths are still in Tralee General Hospital where their condition is described as stable.
