A recent series of road traffic accidents are to be investigated in the county on a particular section of road. Kerry County Council, the Gardai and the National Roads Authority are to investigate the cause of three accidents along the Killarney-Mallow road which is being upgraded.One of the accidents resulted in the death of a Killarney man John Herlihy before Christmas. Pavement improvement works are currently underway on a 1 and a half km stretch of the road. A council spokesperson says the final lining and signing design will incorporate all recommendations from the Gardai and the National Roads Authority.
