Gardai investigate Killorglin Robbery

Gardai in Killorglin are conducting house to house inquiries in the Milltown area after a shop robbery in Milltown yesterday evening.Two men entered the shop on bridge street at around a quarter past six yesterday evening armed with iron bars and screwdrivers demanding the contents of the cash register.They made their getaway in a stolen silver Audi with a Northern Ireland registration.Gardai are carrying out an extensive search of the wider Milltown area as part of this investigation.The scene of the robbery has been technically examined by a local forensics team and the shop has now reopened for business.It`s believed the two men are aged around 25, they spoke with northern accents and were wearing tracksuit tops.They made away with a sum in the region of 500 euroGardai at Killorglin say the car in which the men travelled was a very distinctive one an Audi A3 with a Northern Ireland registration JKZ 1414 and are appealing for anyone who noticed it in the area to contact them.The car was stolen in Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
