Gardai investigate damage to feature at Dingle Ocean World

Gardai in Dingle are investigating an incident over the weekend in which over 10,000 euro worth of damage was done to a water feature at Dingle Ocean World. The feature was just put in place two weeks ago to mark the reopening of the facility after a refurbishment.Manager of the centre Maura griffin says the feature, a whale`s tail was made from concrete and mesh and would have taken considerable force to destroy. She says staff at Mara Beo discovered the damage on Sunday morning when they arrived to open the centre at 9 o clock. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Ms Griffin says the it will be quite expensive to repair.
