Gardai in Kerry are investigating a series of burglaries that were committed across the county in the past fortnight. Gardai are appealing for anyone with any information on these burglaries to contact them at any Garda station. Between the 8th and the 11th of August, the Kingdom Memorial in Tralee was broken into and a small quantity of cash, a ratchet set, and a concrete stall were taken. On the 14th of August, between 10:30am and 3:30pm a house at Lenamore, Ballylongford was ransacked and a small quantity of cash was stolen. On Saturday last, burglars broke into Kennedy’s Pet Farm on the Cork Road in Killarney, and stole four three and a half week old Shih Tzu pups, three pugs, a golden retriever, and six pheasants. A small quantity of cash and two chainsaws were taken. In Listowel, an intruder was disturbed by the residents of a house in the town at about 5am yesterday; nothing was taken in the burglary, however the residents of the house were shaken in the incident.
