Gardai continue to investigate Kerry rape case.

A detailed forensic report on a rape on the outskirts of Tralee last month is almost complete according to garda sources. A number of items from the scene were sent for testing to the forensic science laboratory at Garda headquarters in Dublin. The incident took place around three miles outside Tralee when a teenager who was walking along the road was dragged into a car, brutally raped and physically assaulted.Gardai undertook house to house inquiries of homes within a wide radius of where the incident took place. In addition a car was technically examined and the evidence from this is also being tested at the forensic science laboratory. Garda sources have described this as a particularly brutal assault and are confident the forensic evidence will progress their case.
