Gardaí appeal for witnesses as part of investigation into unexplained death in Killarney

Gardai say they aren’t releasing the results of a post mortem carried out on a young man who died in Killarney over the weekend for operational reasons.

A garda spokesperson said they have interviewed dozens of people in relation to the unexplained death on Saturday night.

However they are continuing to appeal for witnesses as part of their investigation.

The man was found unconscious outside a venue on the Muckross Road at 11.40pm and was pronounced dead a short time later. He has been named as 26 year old Darragh Sheehan from Doneraile in North Cork.

A post mortem took place at University Hospital Kerry last night.
