Gaelic Games updates

At 4.30 tomorrow at Ballincollig GAA Club 2 monuments will be unveiled honouring 2 deceased Cork legends, Willie ‘Long Puck’ Murphy and Paddy Healy. Willie Murphy`s son Eddie was coach of the Kerry hurlers in recent years while Paddy Healy is grandfather of Irish soccer international Colin Healy. Willie Murphy, who died in 1977, was a member of the Cork 4 in a row team, winning 5 all-Ireland senior medals in total, as well as 7 Railway Cups and 3 National Leagues. 200 guests are expected to attend tomorrow’s function, with former GAA President Con Murphy performing the unveilings.
