The draw for Round 3 of the AIB County Senior Football Championship takes place on Radio Kerry’s new GAA programme ‘Ciarrai Abu’ later tonight. 16 Teams will go into the hat for tonights draw. The following sides who recieved byes to this round will get their first taste of championship action.South Kerry, the holders, Laune Rangers, last years runners up, Milltown/Castlemaine (Club Champions) and Dr.Crokes (County League Winners) could meet any of the sides that emerged victorious from rounds one and two. An Gaeltacht, Kilcummin, Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys secured their places at the first time of asking while John Mitchells and Rathmore came through the losers round at the expense of Listowel Emmetts and Dingle.St.Kierans, East Kerry, Shannon Rangers and Mid Kerry will represent the divisional sides together with West Kerry and Kenmare who beat St.Brendans and Feale Rangers in Round 2. Teams that have already met in round 1 cannot meet again which means that Mitchells can’t play Stacks, Rathmore cannot be drawn against Kilcummin, West Kerry will avoid Mid Kerry and Kenmare won’t play Shannon Rangers. The draw will be made live on Radio Kerry’s new GAA programme Ciarrai Abu, presented by Gary O’Sullivan between 9 and 10pm tonight.
