Gaelic Games update

Only time will tell how big a loss the injured John Joe Canty is from the Causeway team for tomorrow’s AIB County Senior Hurling championship final against Kilmoyley. Canty will be watching from the sidelines as Causeway seek to earn their first title since 1998. Causeway haven’t featured in the championship shake-up since winning that crown 6 years ago. Canty believes that’s down to the fact that it is such a competitive championship.Kilmoyley will enter the record books tomorrow if they beat Causeway to capture their 4th successive AIB County Senior Hurling Championship title. Kilmoyley have only played 2 games to get to this stage but those fixtures against Ballyduff and Ardfert certainly tested their mettle. Kilmoyley Chairman Sean Murnane hopes that will stand to them tomorrow.Kilmoyley will finalise their team tonight for Sunday`s AIB County Senior Hurling Championship final against Causeway. Billy Brick and Paul McCarthy will miss the game through injury. The team will not be made public until Saturday at the earliest, while the Causeway team, selected last night, won`t become known until Friday.
