GAA President is quoted 13 to 8 to win Dail seat

The President of the GAA, Sean Kelly is being quoted at 13-to-8 to win a Dail seat in the next general election. He has dismissed suggestions that he will be a candidate in South Kerry, but Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has indicated that he will talk to him in due course. Paddy Power Bookmakers have offered short odds on Mr Kelly winning a seat should he successfully secure a nomination in 2007. Radio Kerry’s Rory O’Sullivan put the proposal to Fine Gael’s Communications spokesman, Bernard Durkan.
