Funding allocated to boat restoration project in Caherciveen

A project to restore a boat in south Kerry has secured grant funding.

It is among 56 coastal community projects around the country which are to be given grants worth a total of €1.2 million.

The scheme is co-funded by the EU and Irish Government.

Caherciveen Rowing Club will get €5,000 for the restoration of a Seine boat.

The total cost of the project is €10,000.
