Four peaks challenge on Carrantouhill

The annual four peaks challenge kicks off in Killarney today.55 teams will try to break the course challenge of one hour and 36 minutes for the irish leg of the tour which takes place on carrantouhill.The object of the challenge is to raise money for charity by climbing four of the highest mountains in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.Challengers hope to raise 75,000 euro for respect.One of the participants Mark Phelan has climbed carrantouhil before but says today will be that bit more difficult.
