Fossa Rowing Club wins largest rowing race in Ireland

A group from the Fossa Rowing Club have won one of the largest rowing races in the country. Racing in a traditional Killarney lake boat the crew completed the course in one hour 44 minutes. All types of boats were present in the event which is part of Cork’s 2005 summer programme, including currachs, Bantry Bay longboats dragon boats and Indian kayaks. Over twenty boats from Kerry took part.
