Former Debenhams workers vote against latest proposal

Former Debenhams workers have voted against the latest proposal in their dispute with the liquidated retailer.

The government had offered €3 million to re-train 1,000 people who lost their jobs; around 90 people lost their jobs in the Manor West outlet in Tralee.

Earlier today, the former employees voted against proposals, with 393 voting against the proposals from a total of 430.

The pickets at a number of stores nationwide continue.
