Fixtures Confirmed For County Hurling Championship

Match details have been confirmed for Round 1 of the Garvey’s Supervalu County Senior Hurling Championship. On Friday 17th July Ballyheigue against Lixnaw will take place at 7 in Abbeydorney. There will be 3 games on Sunday July 19th. A double header in Causeway will see Crotta O’Neills face Kilmoyley at 1:30, followed at 3 by Abbeydorney against St Brendans. At 6 that day Causeway meet Ballyduff in Kilmoyley. The draws have been made for the next 2 rounds of the Keane’s Supervalu Killorglin County Minor Football Championship. In Round 2 next Tuesday at 7 An Ghaeltacht welcome West Kerry, Rahillys entertain Feale Rangers, South Kerry host Kenmare District and St Kierans will be home to St Brendans. There are just 3 matches in Round 3, with all remaining Round 1 and Round 2 winners receiving byes: An Ghaeltacht or West Kerry against East Kerry, Spa versus Rahillys or Feale Rangers, & Crokes against Stacks. Round 3 is to be played on August 8th. Abbeydorney took the honours in the Glebe Kitchens Ladies County Under 12 Division 2A League Final as they overcame Legion 4-10 to 2-5. In the Mary Jo Curran “A” League Group 2 saw Finuge St.Senans win at Corca Dhuibhne 6-7 to 3-11 and in Group 3 of the “B” League Clounmacon/Moyvane won 4-13 to 2-9 against Abbeydorney. Division 1 of the Trophyworld Tralee Under 16s saw Legion beat Stacks 2-14 to 2-4 while Fossa overcame Na Gaeil 1-10 to 3-1. In Division 2 Mitchels edged out Currow 4-10 to 5-6, Laune Rangers won at Milltown Listry/Firies 3-16 to 5 points and Glenflesk defeated Crokes 8-9 to 2-8. Tyrone have made two injury enforced changes to their team for tomorrows qualifier with Meath in Omagh. Niall Morgan replaces Micky O’Neill in goals and Joe McMahon takes over from Justin McMahon in defence. There’s another blow for Tipperary ahead of their clash with Louth , Steven O’Brien has been ruled out through injury, George Hannigan was also ruled out earlier in the week. Antony Masterson continues in goal for Wexford as they go to Derry. Graeme Doyle is at centre back while Ciaran Lyng plays at corner forward. There’s 3 changes to the Galway side for Sunday’s qualifier away to Armagh Brian O’Donoghue starts in goal while Gareth Bradshaw takes over from Patrick Sweeney at wing back and Peader Og O’Griofa replaces Danny Cummins at corner forward. For Westmeath John Connellan replaces Darren Daly at corner forward for the Leinster final with Dublin on Sunday.
