Five Kerry drinking water treatment plants are due to be removed from the EPA’s Remedial Action List.

This is a list compiled by the Environmental Protection Agency of public water supplies needing upgrade works by Irish Water in order to comply with regulations.

There are five Kerry drinking water treatment plants on the current Remedial Action List, and works on these are nearing completion, meaning they’ll soon be removed from the list.

EPA inspector, Críona Doyle, says there’s been significant investment in Kerry over the past 10 years, after many years of underinvestment.
