Irish Water received only five complaints alleging that people in Kerry were flouting the hosepipe ban during its first month.
That’s according to details released under the Freedom of Information Act to journalist Ken Foxe.
When the ban was introduced in July, people were urged to report breaches of the ban.
The five reports in Kerry all include power hoses being used to either clean houses or cars.
Last week Irish Water extended its hosepipe ban in Kerry and several other counties up until the 30th of September.
