Fine Gael local election candidate believes bypass would negatively impact Killorglin

A Fine Gael local election candidate believes a bypass is not the solution to Killorglin’s traffic congestion problem.

Donie O’Sullivan Rua will contest the local elections in May and will run for Fine Gael in the Kenmare electoral area.

He is based in Killorglin and says traffic congestion is one of the major issues that needs to be addressed in the town.

Sitting councillors in the area have been working to secure a bypass for the town, which they believe is the solution to the issue.

However, Donie O’Sullivan Rua says a bypass would negatively impact the town.
