Fianna Fáil councillor Niall Kelleher has been re-elected as Chairperson of the JPC.
The Joint Policing Committee is a forum where members of an Garda Siochana, elected county councillors, Oireachtas members, Kerry County Council officials and community representatives meet to discuss issues relating to the detection and prevention of crime.
Councillor Niall Kelleher was re-elected, following a meeting with a number of other public representatives from around the county.
He was the outgoing chairperson and had filled the role for the past five years.
Fine Gael councillor from Listowel Mike Kennelly has been selected as vice-chairperson of the JPC.
