FF Councillor opposes motion on use of Shannon Airport

Fianna Fail Councillor Patrick O Donoghue says he opposed a motion on the use of Shannon Airport by the U S military because he felt it might have been misinterpreted. His colleague Donal Grady wanted Killarney Town Council to object to the taxpayer paying a subsidy of six million euro for U S military flights. However, Cllr O`Donoghue put forward an amendment to cover all military flights which was unanimously carried.
