Fewer than 3% of all apprentices are based in Kerry

Fewer than 3% of all apprentices in the country are based in Kerry.

That’s according to figures from the Minister of State for Training and Skills, John Halligan.

Apprenticeships offer an opportunity for people to earn while they learn, and are available across a growing number of sectors.

The figures from the Minister show that, as of the start of September, there were almost 14,000 (13,921) apprentices nationally, with close to 400 (394) of those in Kerry.
