Festival crowd numbers up on 2004

Crowd numbers are believed to be up on last year at the Festival of Kerry. Although the Chief Executive of the festival can’t put a figure on the visitors to Tralee he says this year’s event is a definite success. Anthony O Gara says because the entertainment this year is spread throughout Tralee, the crowds are also dispersed.Meanwhile this will be the first time in over 30 years that cis o Connor will not be working at the rose of Tralee festival.The former festival worker says if some of the staff were brought back they would offer a lot of help to the festival.
